REU Program at UND

I produced a suite of software, including all necessary subroutines and data input routines to calculate the density of states for semiconductors and hückel approximated molecular structures. I also produced a set of functions to get the band structure for semiconductors, and the wave function contour (electron position probability) plots versus position for molecular structures.

I also produced an extensive user's manual describing usage of the software. Electronic properties of an ordered phase of a porphyrin-based organo-magnetic film were studied, as well as some properties of graphene fragments. More information is available from UND's (University of North Dakota) REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) website.

This program also does an excellent job of providing for its students, and provides everything their students would need. They provide a meal plan, housing, and plenty of activities. More information about applying is available at UND's physics department site.
